I'm sure you're wondering what the heck we've been up to, so here's a quick re-cap of our week so far.. Friday I had someone come out and go over a few custom curtain ideas. Three hours later and I felt more confused than I did when we started. So yeah, I'm back to square one. Ugh!
after that whole experience the kids were ready to bust out of the house, so we grabbed a quick bite to eat with my mom and then did a little shopping. I got this wild idea to change out all the switch plates in the kitchen. I told you I can't walk into Lowe's and not get some kind of idea flaring. It's just down right impossible. Let's just say the husband liked them so much I was heading back up to Lowe's at 8:30 Friday night buying more. Can you guess how I spent my Friday night? ;) Let's just say I am an official light switch changing pro, watch out!
that night the kids made pizzas for dinner.. we were both pretty impressed.
we also hit up kirkland's on our little Friday shopping spree and I bought this piece of iron work. I knew exactly where it needed to go.. just had to do a little kissing up to the hubs to hang it for me right as he walked in the door from work. Remember, I'm very impatient. ;) The picture quality stinks, but you get the picture.
Saturday was pretty low key for the most part.. grabbed some lunch and did a few errands. You probably can't tell from this picture, but they were using their breadsticks as swords and were really having a good ol' time. I promise I do make them use table manners, but this is what happens when you catch me on a good day! LOL.
Sunday was game day. I got up met my sister for a big breakfast, hit up H-E-B, dropped off the goods and then went to get a much needed pedicure. Productive morning to say the least. We caught the game with a few friends and family members, pigged out and had a nice time chatting it up. Here's me with little man..
yesterday it was back to work, which was a little rough. I stayed up late watching the voice, which by the way is one of my favorite shows. I am soaking up this TV season, because I know it won't last long. Speaking of TV.. are there any Bachelor fans out there? Thoughts? Predictions? I've got my money on Kasie B. I did get around to baking these cuties for our TV watching. I just used the betty crocker peanut butter cookie mix and added red food coloring, nothing hard about that.
and while I was doing that the kids were outside burning some serious energy.
I think that pretty much sums up our last four days.
Happy Tuesday!
