George Ranch Historical Park

My sister and I decided to get together and take the kiddos to the George Ranch Historical Park yesterday for some fun. The weather was perfect and we all had a nice time. Such a neat place to visit if you're from around this area. I think we all learned a little something yesterday!

George Ranch Historical Park

my camera was in overdrive with all the beautiful scenery..

all the houses were so neat to walk through..

I was amazed at the little log cabins..

I would be lying if I said I wasn't a little  freaked out by this bridge.. hints the reason I was last to go!

George Ranch Historical Park

it was so neat seeing how they lived and everything back in the day.. they were creative!

and we got to watch the piggies eat.. grose!

Oink Oink!

and onto my favorites..

Railroad Tracks

the kids couldn't believe how they used to wash and dry their clothes.. makes me thankful.

Clothes Line

check out those horns.. wouldn't want to mess with him.

Longhorn

they also learned how to rope a calf and then watch the cowboys do it for real, pretty neat!

Learning to rope a calf..

They came home and told daddy all about it.. so I take it they had a lot of fun! My son now wants a baby calf and rope for the backyard. Maybe next Christmas! ;)

Happy Friday!
