This week so far has been pretty good to us.. Monday we hung out around the house and made snow cones after work. The kids actually ate them outside, but ended up getting stuck in the rain. Let's just say I don't think they minded one bit! Here's a picture I took right before hand.. luckily I made it to the patio just in time, as it would have been a tight squeeze for all of us under that canopy. It was a little cloudy, but didn't look like the gates were about to open up or anything that crazy. Boy did I misjudge that one!
and here's the proof.. ;)
Yesterday my nephew was born and what an incredible day it was. He is so super sweet and the kids and myself wanted to take him home. They didn't understand why they couldn't! LOL.
So the last two days here have pretty much looked like this.. RAINY and I think today is suppose to be the same! I must admit I am kind of liking it and I know our yard is loving it. Driving home in it though is a different story of course. Yesterday when I went to get the kids it was raining so hard that it took me twice as long to get there and then I got soaked getting out. It finally let up a bit and we were able to make a run for it.
The remainder of our week looks pretty relaxing.. just going to be around helping my sister with the new baby, squeezing in a date night with my hubby and hanging with the kiddos. Did I mention I am loving this summer break from kid activities?? Whew, this mama needed a break and it couldn't have come at a better time. ;)
