I figured it was time for a weekly photo dump so here goes nothing..
let me point out to you the two things that made my weekend extra yummy.. peanut butter cup cookie cupcakes and waffle cinnamon rolls. Seriously ya'll.. they were both super easy and very tasty! Click the links for the recipes I used. In between baking I was able to squeeze in a little mommy time so I opted for a mani-pedi.. I am loving this purple summer color, but also loving the colored french tip look. I just bought a kit today, so I am hoping to try out a few other colors.
The last picture is of the kiddos.. they've been very into dressing themselves this week. And yes, that is a clip-on tie my son has paired with a cars t-shirt and batman socks. LOL.
Friday night we took the kids to do something I haven't done in ages.. rollerskating!! It was loads of fun, but boy did we pick the wrong night.. "teen night" at it's finest, which only gave me and the hubs a heart attack. All I have to say is our poor kids stand no chance. They had a blast though and slowly but surely got the hang of it. I've promised them we'd be going back soon, perhaps after I've had a chance to recooperate. ;)
Saturday afternoon the kids got to have a slumber party with the grands while mommy and daddy got a much needed date night. It feels like ages since we've been able to do something sans kiddos, so it was very nice. We hit up this local bar for a few drinks and a couple rounds of shuffle board. I won the first one and then he took me down after that. He made reservations for dinner at P.F. Changs and man was I in heaven.. I could eat their lettuce wraps everyday!! After that we decided to catch a movie.. the hubs wanted to see Ted so I agreed. I had not seen the previews and judging from the cover it looked like a kid movie to be honest. I was wrong, very wrong. It was hilarious, a little vulgar, but overall extremely hilarious.
The last two picks are from today.. it's been a rainy one but we've still managed to get a few things done. I made a quick grocery run, let the kiddos play outside in the rain with bubbles and are now deciding on what to cook for dinner. I wish I could say after having a few days off I am looking forward to work tomorrow, but that would be a lie. I've enjoyed every bit of my time off and we've truly been making the most of it.
And because I think everyone deserves a good laugh every now and then.. check out my goofy kiddos dancing in the back seat. And please don't ask me where my daughter learned the Madonna vogue move. Ha!

Thanks Guys.. Amy they are both in a 30-110 pound booster seat. We actually got them just for my car because their other car seats were too big and they both qualify for the boosters. They still use the big one's for our SUV.
