was a first for our household!! Katelynn is so excited to be starting Kindergarden this year and she is not alone. I am a ball of mixed emotions, literally. I am so excited for her, but also very nervous. I am worried, but I think all of these emotions are perfectly normal, if they're not just don't tell me. Ha!
I let her assist me in picking everything out that we needed..
So we might have had a little too much fun in the 88 cent section.. ;)
And of course brother had to get in on some of the action.. he left pretty upset because he didn't get any school supplies. His world is seriously about to change.. he is going to be lost without her during the day. Perhaps I need to get him a little something to ease the transition. Anyone else been through this yet and have any ideas up their sleeve??
It was a fun day full of school shopping and we have very little left on our list of things to get. It's been a busy, but productive weekend for us so far. Today is looking to be a little more relaxed, but we do still have a trip to Lowe's to make. We've managed to get a lot done on operation "dining room" this weekend. The furniture is set to be delivered next Saturday, so we wanted to have everything else done by then. I scored a rug on Friday that I am in love with and we managed to find a new light fixture yesterday. We got both hung last night without any not so nice words to each other, so that's a plus! The room is really coming together and I am taking pics as we go. I'll try and post some of where we stand soon.
Happy Sunday!

Can't believe she is starting school!! I bet she is super excited!!
ReplyDeletesounds like you are moving along with the dining room re-do. Can't wait to see pictures!
ReplyDeleteWe had sort of the similar experience with E going to school before C. He was with my mom. Although he missed her he was with my niece too so I think that helped. It's a hard transition for sure but a short one as he goes to preschool now during the school year. Will J go too?
She looks so excited! I took the kids to get their backpacks last week. That's all we have to get. School supplies are provided at our schools. I feel really sad about Lexie starting Kindergarten this year. Time flies!
ReplyDeleteYou could give him a baby brother/sister:)
