So last week both kiddos were introduced to vacation bible school.. it was so cute because they took it very seriously. We had to have clothes layed out the night before and everything! Kind of makes me a little worried how "real" school's going to go. I am so very thankful they were able to go this year and really had a wonderful time. They brought home all kinds of crafts everyday, learned new songs and of course made friends along the way.

So along with everything we have going on I decided to take the plunge and start up the one project that I've been putting off for like ever.. my dining room. I truly have visions for this room, just trying to make it come to life might be the hard part. I decided to start with getting rid of the carpet and replacing it with wood floors.

I found a mirror last week and "think" I've found the table and chair set that I want.. I'm trying not to be so picky, but it's something I can't help. I am hoping I can pull myself together and make a decision in time for the July 4th sales. We went light fixture shopping last week and I think we've got that narrowed down too. I still wouldn't mind a touch of color.. we've got some heavy crown molding in this room and a little color would really make it pop. Just want to try and stay on the lighter side, only because the furniture I am looking at is dark. I guess we'll see how the rest goes.. I am just happy phase one is complete and I can sleep easy tonight!
