Well folks we finally did it.. we have Christmas lights and we did them all by ourselves! It may have taken us a few hours and a few trial and errors but in the end we nailed it. We worked together as a team and made it happen. I love it and the kids could not be happier, afterall we did it for them.

I changed up my Christmas tree a tad this year.. when I was at the Nutcracker market I bought the swag wreath that is above the TV and bought the same ribbon and mesh to match. I ended up using some on my Christmas tree and I had enough leftover to make a wreath for our front door. I also added two new glitter trees to match on the other side of the TV. I have yet to hang our stockings as I just can't seem to find the right holders. I want something sturdy and heavy duty and apparently I am not looking in the right places. Any suggestions?? They had the perfect one's at the market, they probably weighed a good 10 pounds each and had it not been our first stop I would have bought them. I just couldn't see lugging those babies around the entire time, although now I'm wishing I would have.

I love the wreath and I actually recycled it from last year so the only thing I bought to make it was the ribbon. I had the joy sign hanging around the house and finally found the perfect spot for it.

The set of three green glitter trees are another purchase I made while at the market.. I couldn't resist and now I am extra glad I didn't. :) I decided this year to keep things to a minimum for no good reason I guess other than the fact that all I could think about was having to put it all back up in another month.

I still can't believe Christmas is less than a month away.. it's crazy how fast time is going. I do feel good knowing that everything is done and I plan on getting in the wrapping zone this weekend.
Happy Thursday!

So beautiful!! I LOVE your tree. Looks like it belongs in Macy's!
ReplyDeleteIt all looks great! We haven't done anything inside yet - only the lights outside. We wanted to get the tree up one day this week, but don't know if it'll happen or not. I love the stocking holders that I have. They are lightweight, but b/c of their design they hold very well...and they are cute, too - they are candy canes. I've had them a few years now & don't remember where I bought mine, but I found these just like them online to show you: http://www.solutions.com/jump.jsp?itemID=16499&itemType=PRODUCT
