Mid-Week Tidbits

Wednesday, January 9, 2013

So nothing too exciting going on in our household this week so far.. just trying to settle back into a routine. Today K started back to school and I know she was super excited. I'm thinking this will fade once she hits high school. LOL. Last night we had basketball practice and the weather couldn't have been more crappier out. Today we are suppose to get like six inches or something crazy. I'm just hoping it either pours while I'm at work or waits until I get home. Something tells me I won't be so lucky.

Friday I started stenciling the baby's room.. let me just say that I'm glad I splurged and got the bigger wall stencil. Geez.. it would have seriously taken me way longer had I not have. I am still undecided on whether I will be doing all four walls or just one. I have yet to finish the one, so I am not going to get ahead of myself. I've had a couple people tell me that one wall would look nice and the further along I get I'm thinking that sounds much better than all four. :)

I also tried two new soup recipes this week that were a huge hit with my family, so I figured they were totally share worthy. Super easy and healthy. The first was a Meatball and Vegetable Soup and the second was Chicken Noodle Soup. {recipe linked in titles}

  1. You know I'm a fan of accent walls and I think it'll look great just the one wall. Can't wait to see it all come together!

  6. I think one wall will look gorgeous! How exciting that you really get to decorate a nursery. I will live vicariously through you:) Isn't Pinterest addicting? I have to tell myself I can't have it or do it all! lol

  7. love reading what your family is up to. So excited for your family to be welcoming a new baby. If it were me I would say the one wall with stencils would make a great accent wall. It might look too busy if you do it all. Its so fun to decorate isn't it? We are starting to look for twin beds for my 2 youngest girls, they share a room so we want matching ones. So hard to decide. But also fun to look. Pinterest is great too for so many ideas. Ok I'll stop typing.
